Purdie

 

The start of it all

We`d had  the pleasure of sharing our  hearth with dogs before, Spaniels, mongrels, Afghan Hounds, but in 1985, Purdie came into our lives, and captured our hearts. She was a 12 week old fawn, black mask Great Dane bitch. She shared our various homes until she passed away in 1994.

The whole family were devastated, and we swore we`d never have another Dane. However, we decided we couldn't live without  one,  and so we bought our second Dane from a  lady called Audrey Farquhar. He was a fawn male called Stroma Northern Star, or Baggie to his friends.
